A Temporary Stay Visa (VITAS) is given for working and non-working purposes such as foreign investment, family reunion, repatriation, and retirement. It is granted upon authorization from the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta. To expedite the authorization, it is advisable that the applicant has the sponsor in Indonesia to submit the application directly to the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta. VITAS is valid if presented within 90 days from the date of issuance. It allows the holder for a maximum stay of 2 years and could be extended in Indonesia.
